Handy But Economical Brown-out Tips At Your Finger-tips

Blame it on the El NiƱo phenomenon why we also have phenomenal longer hours of brown-outs in a day. Effects might be minimal during day time but not during night shift brown-outs. Five to Six hours brown-out is hard to bear. In a situation like this we need to cope and become more innovative.
Rather blamed our electric companies or the on-going phenomenon, my wife instead found some simple solution to brown-outs. If rechargeable lamps or flashlights already beyond your budget, just go to your kitchen and create a home-made oil lamp.
To those who can appreciate art in photography, look closely at the picture, there's still more to it than the beauty itself: used oil, a match stick, rock salt and cotton.
Here's the instructions on how to create an oil lamp.
1. Fill the glass with rock salt almost half full.
2. Cover the match stick with cotton and let it stand on the rock salt.
3. Pour some oil leaving the tip portion of the match drowned.
4. Lit the tip portion of the match and voila, a handy oil lamp that you can carry anywhere in the house.
